Pattern of the World in the Postmodernism Era

Postmodern pattern of the world (PPW) is reconstructed on the basis of the concepts of
such famous philosophers as Jacques Derrida, Jean Lyotard, Jean Baudrillard, Gilles
Deleuze. Its characteristic features are revealed: 1) the perception of the world as chaos,
2) feeling no confidence in reason, 3) pluralism, 4) sensuality, 5) crisis of authority, 6)
irony in relation to recognized values, 7) kaleidoscopity, 8) symbolicalness, 9 ) textuality
10) game. The perceptions of the world as chaos, lack of confidence in reason are the
most important among them. A comparative analysis of the PPW and other patterns of
the world is made.
