The USSR national strategy for building the Soviet patriotism

during the Great Patriotic War

The article deals with the USSR national strategy for building the Soviet patriotism. The

author concludes that the Soviet State national policy was characterized by some flexibil-

ity. Using international slogans was combined with an appeal to Russian identity. Even-

tually, national policy in the USSR evolved towards fundamental principles of Soviet pat-

riotism, which is the common heritage for all the peoples of the country

.
